Winklevoss twins lose Facebook settlement deal appeal

Stupid dumbasses.

They have 20mil cash and another 45mil in stocks (that is increasing all the time in value) ... and now they are wasting it all on lawyers trying to get more.

No wonder they could not get their own thing working. Stupid people.
 
After reading the wikipedia page on all the developments... Mark Zuckerberg seems like an oppertunistic analwipe. He was commissioned to write code for ConnectU. Instead of completing that project he stole all the code and recreated the exact same thing on his own domain. He was wrong. At the time he did break a contractual agreement. The twins filed a lawsuit against Facebook back in 2004 already, so it's not like they sat around and waited for the company to be worth billions before filing, which would have tainted their intentions.

Have you seen the movie, The Social Network? Everything is explained there in detail, and yes, I have come to the same conclusion as you, Mark is in the wrong since he stole the idea of someone else, Facebook would have never existed if it was not for the Winklevoss twins who put froward the idea.

Facebook would've never said existed if Mark had not written it. (Atleast not as we know it.)

Also just having an idea doesn't matter. Imagine if the Winkelvoss twins had this idea and never shared it or brought it to market. Would they deserve to be multi billionaires for no facebook? Of course not, what matters is bringing the idea to market. The easiest way to make money in a free society is to help your fellow man. You give them something they want, they will keep coming back for more.

Zuckerberg did this. HE brought the idea to market. He made it real. He deserves the credit. Besides as far as I can tell there was 1 unique thing about the twins idea, their "exclusivity" was the email address no? Other than that, social networking was based on other ideas, such as my space.

All knowledge is built on the foundations of the knowledge that came before it.
