Console (& retro console) gamers version of heaven!

OMG what a trip down memory lane!

I know im a Big Bang Theory cast member super dork because seeing all that retro paraphernalia actually got my heart racing with excitement.:D

I used a yen to zar converter and see you can get a game and watch for R77.80(Thought they were all valuable),a Snes for R248.24,Sega Saturn for R315 and the old nes family computer or Famicom R331(Most expensive).

Im going to start a collection of old consoles myself as i sold all my goods years ago.

The Nintendo 64(and Jap SNES) is still a sexy little machine and would love to have them placed in perspex to gaze at for inspiration.

I wish SA or Cape Town specifically had a place i could buy retro consoles cheap as a trip to Xdvd and games with their old consoles in perspex(private collection), only infuriates me with jealousy.

Or people that are aware of rarity charge the earth for a piece of $hi* terribly used console.
The owner of the DVDX in Stadium on Main told me he bought a Donkey Kong game and watch at Cash Crusaders for R20!

Anyhoo Ponder thanks for the memories!

I have bookmarked these pages and will probably spend alot more time zooming in on those prices for interest sake.;)

That could be a good thing for your wallet :D

I would love to visit that shop but you'll have to take $$$ with, I want a N64, DC & SNES...

Yeah it's not exactly as cheap as you would expect. The consoles seem reasonably priced, but 16-bit games for $20 is a bit much.

The prices seem very reasonable to me R240 for a mint N64 and and R320 for a mint DC.

Absolutely!
I must admit i regret getting rid of my Sega Dreamcast though.
When it went up against the PS2 and and before its terribly sudden demise my friend and i used our 'fast' dial up Internet and read a strong rumor which turned out to be true regarding Dreamcast's sudden demise and Sega's exit from the hardware arena.
Being a pimpled cash straddled teen, i preemptively sold the console for R2000 before it was too late, as that consoles price dropped quicker the a Saigon whores knickers!

Yeah only in Japan will you get mint consoles at those prices...

*Breaking news*

I just called my wifes gran about an old 8bit console i saw when cleaning out the garage a few years back.
I drove over there now and notice it was a family computer and not a Reggies branded 8bit!

Score!!!!

The collection continues making a trip too Lee-Annes AKA Chinese games shop in Maynard Mall for Snes stuff!

You started me off on this again Ponder!
