MyGaming: Rumour: New Xbox 360 disk stores 10GBs data

PS3 have been doing 50gb for the last 3 years, seems microsoft is catching up bwahahaha

And yet there is virtually no difference in the quality (textures, etc.) of games between the PS3 and 360.
Which PS3 games even use the entire disc? I only know of MGS4 (which was awesome btw), but that's because of all the dialog and cut scenes...

I say kudos to MS for extracting more out of an existing tech, rather than making us upgrade the drives or something.

surely this is an attempt to stop piracy? i mean DVD+R DL discs are only 8.5gb. if they make games 10gb then people wont be able to download and burn them to a disc. unless i'm missing something?..

I still have to play it, but I've read quite a few complaints about it being bogged down with far too many cut scenes.

Looking at a game like Batman Arkham Asylum I can see slightly more texture detail on the PS3 version, but then that version also has far more aliasing. That's looking at stills. In actual play I doubt the texture difference would be that obvious. Aliasing is more of a problem to me.

No upgrading your drive needed, unless you buy an xbox 360 :p.

Exclusives!! Most Xbox games eventually comes to Ps3, unfortunately for Xbox guys its not the same the other way around.

And the other BIG reason is Bluray movies, there you can see the difference in quality...

Yeah I had an Xbox till recently when I bought the PS3. The only thing I miss on Xbox is the controller, by far more comfortable in my opinion. The batteries also last much longer on Xbox. Other than that, I couldn't even care about Gears 3. Gears is the only good exclusive, in my opinion, on Xbox (forgot about Forza 3). The others are just so so. PS3 has a trunk full of awesome exclusives! No monthly fee to play online is also a bonus.
