Xbox Hight Definition AV Pack - Where in SA?

Just want to know if anybody know info on where in SA i can get hold of [url=" http://www.xbox.com/en-us/hardware/highdefinitionavpack.htm" ]this item[/url].

Animeworx will get it later December, so i am just seeking to get one just before that if possible.

I have the option of ordering it from overseas but not sure if its risky, ie. postage delivery safety, etc.

you could try PlayAsia. Fiveby5 has used them before and they are good.

just remember that hidef mode (480p) are only available if your xbox eeprom is set to ntsc. You will not get that option if set to pal.

Which means, you need to have a chipped xbox. Use enigmah videomode switchdisc to set it to ntsc, then go to the normal xbox dash and enable the hidef modes. This may cause some problems with pal games (if they are region coded for pal only, not mixed or ntsc) as the default.xbe will detect the xbox is set to ntsc and try to load ntsc specific content, which wont exist on your pal disc (error will be something like "disc is dirty or scratched"), so you will have to see which of your games will work on ntsc, and which work on pal, and switch accordingly.

yeah, read up on that earlier... i have an AU/NZ version of the Xbox... will have to check up more info on it or just the Xbox 360 in two weeks from now...

EDIT : Found this nice info on a Australian Xbox website, no modding needed... now just to find the save game editor...

I used a creative labs muvo 64mb to save my splintercell files on, then made a usb-->xbox adapter and plugged it in , copied the save across (delete any other splinter cell saves), boot up from the ORIGINAL splinter cell disc (NOT the one that says "live enabled", it wont work with this) go to campaign, start campaign...xbox will "whoopsy" as the buffer overflow kicks in, and at this point you can ftp in and copy stuff across..I have a generic softmod c drive image which you can just plonk on and voila, one modded xbox.

If you are handy with a soldering iron, you can join two via's on the motherboard at this stage, then run something like "slayers 2.5" to flash the onboard biox with something a bit better, which will make your xbox permanently modded.

Really, it is pretty easy.
5 minutes to do a softmod (splinter cell etc) and maybe half hour to yank out mb, solder two points, put it back and flash the bios (the soldering makes the bios chip write enabled....chip is write disabled by default)

thanks for the info... just i aint good in DIY stuff so i might try the softmodding for a change if i find all the necessary items...
