A friend is considering buying an A3 1.4T FSI Attraction S tronic.

Is there anything one should beware of with these? I'm not familiar with the engine or gearbox on that model, and if anyone has any input, it will be appreciated...
 
The A3 is a great car but there are 2 reasons why I wouldnt pick one up right now

1. A new A3 is being released at the end of the year.
2. The 1.4T FSI engine doesnt kick out much power. Your friend will be paying nearly R280k for a car that kicks out 92kw and 200 torque. Thats nothing special and in that price range you can pick up the Highline VW 1.4TSI (118KW) or the Giulietta 1.4T Multiair (125kw). Both these vehicles are new releases and the VW comes standard with leather and lots of toys.

Im sure the gearbox is great though...
