BARCELONA - Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo repeated allegations that referees favour Barcelona after his side were eliminated from the Champions League by their bitter rivals in the semifinals on Tuesday.

Uefa is probing comments by Real coach Jose Mourinho after last week's first leg when he suggested there was a conspiracy at European soccer's governing body to help Barca.

The Catalan club won the match at the Bernabeu 2-0 and a 1-1 draw at a rain-lashed Nou Camp on Tuesday was enough to send them through to the final on May 28 in London where they will play Manchester United or Schalke 04, who were due to meet last night.

"We knew we could beat Barca, but the referee didn't let us," Ronaldo, who joined Real from United at the end of the 2008-09 season, told reporters.

"Once again it was the referee who didn't allow us to dictate the outcome," he said.

"The referee in the first match (Wolfgang Stark) took away our chances of playing the final. Whoever knows anything about football knows that Barcelona get preferential treatment."

Real were furious that striker Gonzalo Higuain had what they felt was a legitimate goal disallowed by referee Frank de Bleeckere shortly after half time with the score tied at 0-0.

De Bleeckere ruled that Ronaldo had fouled Barca's makeshift defender Javier Mascherano shortly before Higuain curled the ball past Victor Valdes into the net.

"Higuain's goal was good," said Ronaldo.

Shame on you , Barca

That Masch Disallowed goal was iffy.....

Not quite sure why Barca players have to simulate so much. They have enough talent to beat any team without cheating. Maybe they prefer a 11 v 10 scenario were they enjoy 70% possession and pass and pass and pass....... and still only wait for abit of Messi magic.

Exactly my point. They have some of the best players in the world so surely their talent alone is enough. Quite sad how they go on in matches really.

Referees high stake games in multibillion quid tournaments? Nooooo!?
:p
Match fixing is apparent in almost all top level footy sadly... hard to believe it's not happening.

Maybe some bookies have ref's in their pockets.Fooball betting is massive the world over. Very possible that there is some underworld wheelings and dealings going on....

With all the power in the hands of the ref? Yes, without doubt, it happens.

A lesson for CR, he should fly when tackled, if didn't he would have flown into Masch & the goal would have stood!

Actually to be honest, I don't think Barca has the quality and ability to beat strong oppositions without resorting to these antics... As you've seen, Inter played a compact game, Barca pull all the strings to try get a player sent off with their constant dives and ref crowding demanding for a card to be shown.

Lets see this years CL, RVP (Arsenal), Pepe (RM)

As a player CR is great.
As a person I still think he's a big baby.

Comes from paying too long under Ferguson I think!

What came from playing under Fergie was the "Best player in the World Award"..

As great a player CR is, he will always have that negative stigma attached to him. Sad really..
