I exist only in my own mind ...
I purchased a 50 sms bundle with loyalty points in March, but it's no longer reflecting on my account. Previously sms's would carry over until used - has this been changed?

with loyalty points mine usually last 30 days :)

i lost 7 at the end of last month :P but i buy in 200 packs.

but i got a 500 in january, and it never expired :/ so i don't know how they do it... if they just sought of sometimes do it.

I had a loyalty points bundle expire on topup, and another on normal contract that didn't. I complained on hellopeter and MTN re-instated my bundle on top-up. It's been there for the last six months already.

What's the point in gathering enough points to buy a large bundle if it expires in 30 days. It says nowhere on their site that loyalty points sms bundles expire.

no, but sms bundles as a whole expire after your next invoice date, i would advise if you are going to do such a thing then load the bundle 2-3 days after inv date ie 7th is inv date load on the 10th.

Normal bundles that you buy using airtime (like on Vodacom, I sometimes buy a 200 bundle using the *100# MyMenu) will expire after 30 days and do not carry over.
However, if you buy a bundle with Talking Points they are valid for 90 days.

Don't know about the other networks but I am sure you can get more info on their website somewhere about the T&Cs of their loyalty rewards programs.

As I stated earlier, I have a loyalty points sms bundle that is now in around month 6 already. Could you please check the T&C's and revert.

....alrighty! the official word i got was that loyalty point sms's expire after a 30 day cycle as they are treated in a standard manner, only way that differs is the way you purchased them, not the product. How you still have yours? must be a glitch.

Weird, when I complained on hellopeter for losing a loyalty points sms bundle on my topup line, the bundle got reinstated. That one has also been there ever since (at least 6 months too already).

On my 3rd line that my wife uses (normal contract) I've been using loyalty points sms bundles as well and there too they don't expire. I hope this glitch lasts cause there is no point in waiting to gather lots of points to buy a big bundle if it expires in less than 30 days :(

Then T&C's appear to have been changed without warning. I previously had loyalty purchased sms's lasting until I used them up.

Has the carried over option been discontinued?

The very same people you complained to on hellopeter are the people i approached for an answer....

@snakepit:

I submitted a query on your MTN active web site on 7th May and apart from being passed around various anonymous internal departments has not elicited a proper response.
