Social investment strategy = screw the poor people in rural areas, disconnect millions of lines for people who can't pay

Employment policy = Reduce the Telkom employees by 50% so that management benefits can increase

In 1999, there were 61237 Telkom employees, by September 2003 this had been reduced to about 33800 - simply adding to the country's almost 40% unemployment rate.

No wonder that Africa is known as the dark continent. The poor citizens get raped left, right and centre by unscrupulous operators.
