Noob questoin about GPT partition

This is a bit of a noob question as i think i know the answer but thought i'd check before i go ahead.

I am installing a new server at my office using SBS2011. I've got RAID running for my data drives giving me a 2.8TB virual drive. Now, when it comes to formating and initializing, windows has asked if i want to use GPT.

My question is this.. If i use GPT to initialize as opposed to MBR will this data drive be viewable by my 32 bitXP machines on the network? I know that GPT is not usable by all OS's but i assume this is only really applies if its running on that particular machine? If its a network drive, it should be ok?

as far as i know no. GPT is only seen but windows vista and above. if you are sharing the drive from a windows vista or higher machine then you should have no problems.

Yes, all the clients would be able to access the drive across the network. As long as you keep the RAID array in a server running a GPT-compatible OS, there shouldn't be a problem.
