MIH, locatedin Cape Town, currently has a vacancy for a Senior PHP Developer who, reporting to the GM, will be responsible for modifying, designing, building, testing and deploying PHP applications.

PRIMARY JOB OUTPUTS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO;
- Implementation of software systems according to the accepted technical specificatio
- Delivery on new requirements and enhancements to existing systems
- Deployment of web applications (both locally and internationally)
- Contribute to product innovation
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential
- A minimum of 5 years programming experience over a LAMP stack
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Solid understanding of the web and associated interfaces
- Solid understanding of: REST, Web Services, SQL, XML, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS
- Web 2.0 methodologies including AJAX
- Previous experience in public web site development
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- In-depth sysadmin knowledge, including Amazon AWS/EC2
- Experience in Internet startups
