The card,is it a good card and iirc there were problems with either the 460 or the 465.
Can't remember which one had issues...

Can someone shed some light for me please?

What price will you be paying for the card?

There are pretty good alternatives to that card in the R2000 price range.

It's gonna cost the guy R1850 for the card and he has his eyes set on this and wants to fetch it today I'm trying to look at 6850 aswell...

Pada which card was was the one with the issues? 460 or 465?
 
The 465 is generally the power-hungry, under-performing(for its price and power usage) one, I think.

R1850 is a very good price for that card.

A friend of mine VERY recently bought an MSI GTX 460 Hawk 1GB for like R2000.
If you're not going to overclock the card, then you're better off with a VTX3D HD 6870, which retails for R2k as well.

The price difference between the GTX 560 and GTX 460 is still too big IMO.

The only thing that I'm not a fan of is those blower type coolers, which is fitted on that EVGA & VTX3D cards.
