Pampas in super rugby and currie cup?

No. They played in the Vodacom Cup.

To play in the "ABSA Currie Cup Premier Division" they have to win promotion via the "ABSA Currie Cup First Division".

The First Division this year consists of: Boland, Border, EP Kings, SWD, Griffons, Valke.

Last season the EP Kings won the First Division title but failed to beat the Pumas in the promotion/relegation matches. SWD also failed in their promotion bid by losing to the Leopards.

Pampas sounds like a South African varsity or club team.

Not sure why news articles don't rather refer to it as the Argentinian Pampas since most rugby fans including myself won't know who they are.

You're right. I also feel for them as they stayed here for the duration of the Vodacom Cup. That could not have been easy!

My biggest regret this year has been financial and time: I either have not had the money (some weeks) or the time (other weeks) to go to Loftus. And I dearly wanted to also see the Pampas and again, money and time. Where did they play out of? I see the final was in Potch and I wanted to go but last week, both the time and the money were factors.
