If the pricing stays the same, I think it will be another very good offering by the Korean Base company!
 
This car looks good .... I must say a few years ago I would not have given Hyundai a second glance as far as cars go. With their latest line-up Sonata, ix35, i20 and i30 their cars have become more attractive. This new car falls in that category and if it comes to SA and slots in below the Sonata, it will compete directly with other makes.

You'll find more and more people going for the Korean based manufacturer.

It seems Hyundai's designs have gone from stupefyingly mundane to stupefyingly overstyled in one fell swoop. Maybe they'll catch a bit of balance on the next swing of the pendulum.
 
Hyundai's have always been overstyled... look at any generation Tiburon.
Look at the ix35 and even the new Sonata.

Is it a bad thing? I don't think so, super cars are over styled and no one complains. People are just used to mundane looking mom's taxis when it comes to family cars
 
I must admit that they are reliable, great value for money, highly specced and they have decent performance. I just don't like the Korean bulbous aesthetic.
 
Lol i never said Hyundai's are super cars bwaaaahahaha far from it in fact i said they're "family" cars, i just meant to say they look different sometimes ugly sometimes pretty but usually interesting never just flat out boring.

Like the Veloster coupe with 3 doors instead of two... weird but definitely different

Looks good. Just not in the colours that you see on the net. According to Hyundai SA page, coming to SA at end of year. Elantra coming soon.

My girlfriend just upgraded her old i10 for the new one with all the safety features. Got her car today. I drive an i20 and will get another Hyundai when I trade it in. Nothing but good things to say about them. Reliability, check. Good service, check. Quality cars, getting there...

EDIT: Sorry, I said Elantra coming soon. I was thinking of the Accent.

Best looking car in its segment... See it in the flesh, and you just keep staring... Truly impressed by the Koreans... Just give us better engines... A 200bhp turbo motor would do wonders...
