Retrenchment cover as a standalone - any suggestions?

I need to have retrenchment cover for a small loan I've had to take out. I already have a life and disability policy I'm happy with. The bank's policy is ridiculous; I refuse to pay that much for such a minor amount.

Any suggestions for who might do this policy as a standalone? A Google search showed these policies bundled with life and disability, which I already have and don't want duplicated.

Before you suggest it, I've already contacted my broker to ask about these, but want to see if I can come up with any alternatives. I'm looking to pay as little as possible for this, as I'll be cancelling it within a year.

Thanks to the millions of companies that have shut down, retrenchment is now considered "high risk" these days...so pay up or dont take the cover at all . Your choice.

Helpful. Thanks.

Anyone with an actual suggestion?

*Bump* in the vague hope that someone will have a suggestion...

1. Transfer your existing cover over to a company that offers retrenchment cover.

2. Take out the cover with a external provider and cancel it one month later.
