Road trip + New Year by the beach in Mozambique

Myself and a friends are planning a road trip plus New Year celebration in Moz at the end of the year.
We looking at 10 to 12 people.
Preferably self catering accommodation by the beach or close enough.
We only looking at a lively place with lots of night life and parties.
We will be using private small cars, no 4X4s, for this reason and budget, we not planning to go any further north after Maputo, will to go an extra 200KM further along the beach-line though, if Maputo or surrounding areas can't offer what we need.
Dates: Depart 28/29/30 Dec 2011
Return 02/03 Jan 2012

Please advice, on where to stay, where to go, what to do.

from what i have read in my collection of Weg magazines is that you should be wary of mozzies and the toilets !? although i highly doubt the whole coast lines toilets are bad, its still a note to take down.

the mozam is a nice place, but i still prefer the kruger :)
 
Mozambique looks so awesome but ummm nightclubs are probably pretty ghetto lol.
 
Try Bilene - that's where we're going - don't know about nightclubs & stuff, but should be buzzing over December
