what happened you ask?

Last month some WASP service decided to subscribe itself on my number ( i made a thread about this a month ago )

So i phoned MTN, to cancel the subscription and i actually manually opt-ed out of the subscription by smsing "STOP" to some number. so i thought i would be ok, i opted out with SMS and MTN supposedly forced me out of the subscription.. WRONG

get my new top-up airtime and see that R21 is missing. the same ****ers are still stealing from me. this is ****ing fraudulent? there is no evidence of me subscribing to this bull**** nor have i ever subscribed to this bs service. ****.

bunch of ****ing idiots. :( :mad:

Haha im sorry if there are any kids on here :O

So I made a post on MTN's Facebook group regarding my dilema, The facebook MTN rep gave me an e-mail to someone who can at least be somewhat accountable.

I e-mailed my details, They have received my problem and have themselves lodged a complaint with waspa, I have lost in excess of R400 in airtime so far, which can only be given back once the complaint has been dealt with by WASPA.

MTN have credited me with R100 airtime in the mean time which helps me do my day to day, you know, calling and SMSing :O

Will keep you posted.

Its taken them a week but its all been sorted out, my airtime will be restored today/tomorrow by R400

Just a tip for those paranoid ones out there, phone your Cellular SP, disable all WASP services on your account, 99% of myBB members dont subscribe to these BS services.

it will save you a headache.

You can do that on MTN? Vodacom claim this is impossible.
 
Get back to us when MTN actually give you back your money.
My mom got ripped off like this by T-Mobile SA through MTN. She's been fighting with them for over a year now. They keep promising to give her back her money but she hasn't received a cent to date.
 
Wow. MTN actually contributed something towards humanity. No wonder the world didnt end last month.
