I exist only in my own mind ...
So far this morning I have clocked 135 mins and am still waiting.

Frankly it says a lot for my phone's battery!

/Edit now 150 mins ... Edit/

I just got answered in less than 20 seconds. Maybe your call was patched through to Jupiter!

I think you are the proud holder of the record Bekdik! All the way from MTN land to Jupiter!

You did it!!!!

Bekdik, what was your final holding time for MTN (Lack of) service desk?

Well, if I could access the MTN site I could look it up. I think it was about 4h30 at which point I was told I had been redirected to the wrong help desk :D

I had a meeting or 2 to attend, so I couldn't monitor continuously my phone which I'd left running. Every time I did check it I got a "all our ...." message so I assumed nobody had answered.

I kind of figured that should a helpdeskite pick up a silent call they could email or sms me (my CID would give them sufficient info to get my details) to say they'd answered, especially after such a long call, but I guess I was expecting too much.

Maybe mtn or vodacom choosed you to make up their yeard end sales for this month

;D

i have just discovered that MTN is billing clients when dialing the 1761 number , it appears on your billing statement as calls to 176

i'm actually with vodacom, but on prepaid, so to save some bucks i've been using mtn's prepaid data bundles (sorry, v3g :)), with which i have to say i've had very little problems.

but the few times i've had to phone the mtn helpdesk...
i tried to get through on sunday - 1h45 and then later another 30min - gave up both times...
