What they don't tell you
I've been trying to sort out an intermittent starting problem on an 04 Micra.
Starter motor from Nissan = R5800 - OEM from elsewhere R500-R700
Ignition switch - a little plastic switch (40mmx35mm)that screws to the end of the ignition barrel = R900
Ignition Barrel = R4000
They ain't half shy on their spares pricing if your stuck in a position of having to use them.

I've heard so many stories of Nissan and their ripoff pricing. It's definitely not new. Their cars are even overpriced out of the box. I believe the rental companies are trying to get rid of their Tiida fleets cos they are not cost effective to service.
