I'm looking for advice on which shampoo and conditioner to use.
It's the little things that make life worth living.
I am looking for first-hand opinions about shampoos and conditioners, not advice from a hairdresser who is looking to sell the expensive products which they stock.

Invite ALL your friends to a braai/dinner. Run your fingers through their hair. Ask questions and take notes. Done.
The best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used is Paul mitchell's Tea Tree, it's just way too expensive now. I've started using the John Frieda range (You can get them from Clicks), they also work really well and are not too expensive (R70 a container).
