Expanded Zoom Displays
Displayed photos can be magnified from 1.5x to 10x in 15 stops, allowing users to check the focus and exposure of images with a new level of precision. Operation is simple: users press the Enlarge/Reduce button in combination with the AF point selector to zoom in, the AE lock button to zoom out, the Main Dial to scroll horizontally, or the Quick Control Dial to scroll vertically.
RGB Histogram
The RGB histogram is a unique feature newly available on only high-end Canon digital SLRs. This professional feature enables separate checking of color information for the red, green, and blue channels, as well as inspection of other color information such as white balance, color balance, saturation, and gradation compression. Available when viewing any recorded image in the Single (Info.) image playback mode, the RGB histogram is displayed as an alternate to the brightness histogram, which draws attention to white portions of the image that lack image information.
Auto Rotation of Vertical Images

they don't have this one on their site, but I am sure they can import one for you at a good price, they are the cheapest in SA, they import them from Singapur, so they are sort of gray import, but they take care of the warranty.

by the way, taking into account that this is one extreme expensive camera (~R50000 or so), I think it will be far cheaper to order it from the states, shipping will be negligeable compared to the big bucks you will save from the lower cost over there.Person said:

This is a pro camera and you should know what you are doing if you plan on buying it. Also if this is for one of your clients you might want to advise them to only go for the canon pro lenses because with this thing poor glass will really show up.

yep I agree, you are looking at another few thousand US$ for lenses unless whoever is buying it already has a collection of canon lensesAngellus said:

So I won't personaly buy any expensive photographic equipment localy, much better to import it!

If cost is not an issue, then Orms (in Cape Town) are about the best to deal with. This is a 'pro' camera, and due the cost I am not sure how many will be on the shelf in stores in SA. Give them a call, and if they don't have one they might be able to find one for you.
If cost is an issue then I would suggest jumping on a plane to either Singapore (Cathay Photo) or New York (BH Photo). The savings from purchasing this camera outside the country will more than cover the cost of the flight.
Now lenses are a different story.....
