Electronic cigarettes don't give off smoke, but some are banning them

Surely it can't be that dificult to test the vapour? If there is no smell and no way a second person can be affected by inhaling it, then let them use it.
 
I noticed on a recent flight to the UK that they prohibited the use of e-cigs. :confused:

It's not actually a fake one. It is a drug delivery device either way you look at it.

The health effects of using electronic cigarettes are currently unknown. Several studies regarding the long-term health effects of nicotine vapor, both inhaled directly and second hand, are currently in progress.

How long did it take for us to realize cigi's and the second hand smoke caused cancer and all sorts of other stuff?
 
I have to admit, if I used one of those things, I'd be pretty embarrassed to try use it in a public place.

It looks similar to me, can you say without a doubt that the vapour is not dangerous?

While smoking and vaping may be different i doubt they will make the same mistake they made with cigi's.

Do you know for a fact that nicotine causes cancer? Where is your evidence?
 
Yet strangely those same people who now moan and bitch about vapor (really, bored much?), walk in cities around the world inhaling far worse toxins that they could ever inhale from vapor. Anyway, life goes on...but I do wonder what their views on the use of cellphones are.
 
I have big issues with smoking and cigarettes. I can't stand the smell of smoke and it makes my throat close up and I struggle to breathe when in the presence of people who smoke.

A guy at my previous job switched to e-cigs. He was allowed to "smoke" (aka Vape) in the office in our cubicle area. I couldn't smell a thing. I couldn't tell the difference between when he was lit up and when he wasn't. Once he had a minty kind and I could smell the mint vapour when I was right next to him.

I was perfectly happy with the e-cig. Because he didn't smoke normal cigarettes anymore his clothes and possessions stank less overall. Its one of the nastiest things about smokers - everything about them just reeks so badly - their breath, their clothes, their cars. I can't sit next to someone in a meeting after they've had a smoke break - it's disgusting. With the e-cigs, all of this is taken out of the equation.

I'm all for e-cigs.
 
Nicotine is a deadly poison. As little as 50 mg (that's milligrams) is enough to kill a grown adult. Keep that stuff away from me please :p
