High-definition TV gets a boost

South Africa doesn't need it.

What use is HDTV to the average guy? Who will broadcast it? Where will the capital for the infrastructure come from?

Choosing between SABC, eTV and Multichoice amounts to Hobson's choice. SABC provides very old content, eTV provides old content and Multichoice provides expensive content. How will HDTV improve this situation?
