I actually had one of those laptops at my previous workplace. It was used mostly on the desktop with the charger plugged in all day (the company was too cheap to shell out for docking stations). One day the battery charging light started blinking an SOS. It went away when I took the battery out. Time to replace the battery said Dell. After about a year. That was after the motherboard and hard disk also had to be replaced. I would never buy anything from Dell with my own money.
