France may make media sharing legal?

I hope the restarted one is accepted too. We need a more liberal sharing environment that will put the pressure on content owners to be more creative if they want to protect copyrighter material instead of forcing the shutdown of networks that have perfectly legal uses too. Yes, the legal uses are limited at the moment if not by possibility then by consumer uptake but it is there and needs to be respected. What the US is aiming to do now through outlawing equipment like PVR and related equipment is just insane...
 
If the french govt are staffed by their equivalent of Poison Ivy & co. That bill will take another 8 years to get restarted.
 
Twas the day after Xmas and little Pietie and his dad were wondering how to put their cd's on little Pietie's new MP3 player. Using Dad's Adsl (which pa uses mostly for pron) they discovered a world of possibilities. Their shiny new mp3 players bursting with muzak. By January1 they had joined the 300 million or so others worldwide who also had got mp3 players for xmas and lo and behold... a new age had dawned.
