Hi guys, gona be buying a 150 cc scooter. I need some info on what license an learners I need?
I have had a code8 code B for years. Also who do I phone to make appointments in sandton or randburg

You'll need the code 1 learners licence for motor cycles. Then you will need the code A licence for motor cycles with engines larger than 125cc.
 
also, when you do the driver's test (not the learner's), make sure to do it on a manual bike >125cc or your licence will not be a full one.
 
Thanks guys.... Any one done this recently? I only have the 150 cc auto available so will have to use that.
How easy / difficult is the learners? Oh and any one know how to book and the costs ?

learner's is easy. just learn the book! chances are you will fail if you don't learn the theory. the test is almost identical to the car learner's, but there are a few questions that are different. you book at the traffic department. it's not that expensive.

rent/borrow/use a bike training school to get an automatic bike. you REALLY don't want an automatic licence!
