I think I'm going to keel over and die from being not surprised. Yeah... just like with the latest details concerning the SAAB Gripen bribes.

Also, it doesn't say anything about your average ANCYL member that wasn't known before tonight. Maybe he'll choke on a celebratory meatball.

Maybe if the media just stop reporting on every thing he says. Since, according to the main dudes, he doesn't speak for them, why do we have to read about him on the front page every time he burps? My next door neighbor also have some crazy solutions to today's problems, but it doesn't mean I want to know about it. The media created him and now are making him stronger, carrying his word to those who otherwise would not have heard it.

Disagree - media should have full page headlines every time he badmouths his party, its partners and his bosses
 
Better to have him there than in the ANC I guess. Maybe he will retire as president of the ANCYL when he has a long grey beard...one can hope.
 
Not surprised here at all. All that attention people give him only makes him appeal more to others that feel the same as him but now they *think they have a voice but this is what you get when you are pro-government.

Imagine if we never knew about Malema because the Sunday Times or News24 didn't want to sell news.
Imagine the millions who would have never heard of him like the previous ANCYL president, he would have faded into oblivion.

But no, lets keep giving the man the attention he craves.

It just proves that there is a huge problem with the education system in Africa. Apparently, he has many supporters from all over Africa.

This funny reasoning that he is popular because of the media/right wing is BS imo. Someone like Deborah Patta probably started this rumour, and now it is the fashionable thing to say.... or maybe it was some 702 DJ that started the trend. They were practising wishful thinking.

Being the minister of sport and a member of the national executive committee of the ANC is hardly faded into oblivion. Never imagine that not being on the front page all the time means faded into oblivion.

Cool, I guess its better if Malema gets into the Presidency then?

Te more popular you are, the higher your position. Malema won't be a sports minister at this rate.

It is a slow climb to the top. If Malema were to become president it will only be in 4 or 5 or more terms.
 
Malema will never be president of this country. He'll be taken out the moment he puts himself in the running and it will cause pandamonium in this country. He is undoubtedly going to cause huge problems, regardless of whether he reaches the throne or not...
