Johannesburg - Twenty-five people were injured after two taxis collided head-on on the Stellenbosch arterial road near Symphony Way in Belville in Cape Town on Saturday, ER24 said.
"It is not clear as to why the accident occurred, but when paramedics arrived at the scene there were patients scattered around the two crushed vehicles," ER24 spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said.
All 25 of the patients were assessed on scene for their various injuries, all of whom had sustained moderate injuries, and one man who had sustained serious injuries

Johannesburg - One person was killed and 20 injured when a taxi and a VW Golf collided on the R70, 10 kilometres outside of Senekal, paramedics said on Saturday.
ER24 spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said the taxi was en route from Johannesburg to Ficksburg when the accident happened.
The driver of the Golf had taken most of the impact and was flung from the vehicle. He was declared dead on scene.
His three passengers sustained minor scrapes and abrasions.
Three occupants of the fully laden taxi were trapped inside when the vehicle overturned while some passengers managed to climb out.
The Jaws of life was used to remove the roof of the taxi and free them.
Nine taxi passengers were in a critical condition after sustaining multiple broken bones and other injuries while others suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Dihlabeng Hospital in Bethlehem.
