Freeze on investments ‘decimated SA industry’
That moratorium implemented by Government that blocked Eskom from building new capacity set the country back in more ways than what the average person thinks, as not only did we end up with load shedding and subsequent black outs due to not building more capacity since the moratorium came into force in 1998 and lasted for about 10 years until the bolt incident, there were many other industries on the supply side that felt the pinch, maybe went under as a result. It cost the country countless Billions to date and counting.
