If it happens it's only likely to be in 2029 or 2034 realistically. He's supporting both Mohtlanthe and Mbalula to come before him. And if JZ serves a second term it's likely to be 18-28 years from now!

So why the scare mongering?

Well, I said leave the country.

Less because of Malema and more because I would ideally like to live in as many places as possible, simply to experience the world.

Realistically, I'd do nothing much, expect bitch more about Malema.

If the anc decide zuma is out for the next election could he be a candidate?
They could, but it's very unlikely. There are lots of more powerful people waiting in the wings, and they will collectively ensure that this won't happen. Right now Malema is good for making a noise and distracting people from the real issues. Also AFAIK the party president is usually the presidential candidate.

He is scary, but he might have a lot of backers within the ancyl, but that is not the whole country, the ancyl is a small part of this country. There will allways be some extremist who speak to a certain group, but that does not mean they will get a vote in real elections

Lots of people swore on their lives they would leave the country if Zuma took control. Theyre all still here. Guess these same people are saying the same thing again...

I said unsure because I think even if he does make it there, it's not him getting there that's the problem. Being president doesn't really give you the power to do just about anything without people throwing you out.. something most presidents realize after the fact unless they hellbent on burning things to the ground most get there and then lose track due to politics, money and other interests. I reckon time to worry is when there is no opposition or opposition is removed.
