TF2 free on Steam this week

Its fantastic, nothing quite like it out there.

But don't expect a realistic war shooter :P

No just for this week.
But it usually only costs about $10, think its $20 for the orange box.
 
Plenty servers.
The busiest are IS servers. With about 2 full servers during evenings and weekends
 
Dont like it at all, maybe for youngsters i can see it being fun, hit register is more hit n miss

No idea what you are on about. But i am guessing you played it on release date and gave up on that day.
Best game i have ever played :D.
 
Youngsters like hit and miss hit registration? Or what do you mean?
The game has a lot more depth than something like COD, CS. There are 9 classes that play totally differently and each have their own roles.
And you wont get any lucky 1 shot spray and pray kills, well not against anyone good anyway.

You couldn't be more wrong. TF2 is one of the few multiplayer games that skill means almost everything. You very seldom see a good player being killed by a noob with the odd exception of pyro spamming. It's also extremely well balanced between the classes and changing between classes is like changing entire games. They also are constantly updating and teaking the game and while these days I take months off I always return to see what's new.

I only wish there were more South African servers. The same faces get a little tiresome and some people have played for so long and so often they really have nothing better to do than experiment with hax etc making it sucky for the noob to the casual/moderate players. It's also a little clicqued out on the South African servers. Whenever certain characters groups are on I just quit the server. That Layla comes to mind.
 
Well said fantasticFred, couldnt agree more with your first paragraph.

There are enough servers though. If more people played and we start running out of servers they will add more.
Also hacking is quite rare with VAC enabled, some guys are just really good and this might put off new players.
There arent really many trolls left on the servers and most experienced players would be willing to help new people.
