Hello,

I am a student from Cape Town, about to finish up my degree. About a year ago, I started a small "clothing" company (primarily caps and head wear.) with the hope of growing it into something much larger. I got it off the ground and made an excellent start.

Right now, I don't have time to grow this business and would rather have it loved and cared for by someone who does have the time.

So far I have:
- .com domain (Blog, small online shop set up and an online business project management system.)
- Company social media accounts (With followers and fans.)
- All resources. (Paperwork, receipts, business cards, source files, media files, branding, etc.)
- 250 limited edition caps. (Designed with love, style, and attention to detail and made by the best head wear manufacturer in the world.)

Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can try and sell my business?
I'm not really looking to make a massive profit off of the sale, I just want to cover my initial expenses.

dude, you are an online business, so try online places first (gumtree, classifieds etc), unless you have decent figures, then get a business broker, that is their job and how they make money

How much are you looking to get for it?

vottle.com has a business for sale section.

I'm hoping to get around 15. Like I said, I'm not looking to make a massive profit. I just want to cover my expenses. It was tons of fun growing it and actually getting this far.

Sell a large stake off to a BBBBBEEEEEEEEEE empowerment firm. Have them toss some under table money to Cosatu to secure a tender to supply hats and shirts for the next Cosatu strike.

Profit!

You looking at lump sum or monthly payments?

I'm hoping for a lump sum. This seems to be a little harder than I thought, especially because of the size of this business.

I can picture matric accounting in future:

Your business is worth R100k. Your auditor friend has it valued at R500k. Your ANC friend buys it for R1000k, getting the taxpayer to pay, and you give him a R100k cashback for his help. How much money have you made?

Too bad would have been intrested with monthly pay off

3 x your monthly turnover or the value of your stock, whichever is greater. Thats what they teach in Entrepreneurship at University ;)

thats bull****, frankly. Time to change whatever university it is you are at.

why sell the whole things... sell half and let them run it... keep yor 49% and still make y9our share
