Permanent position in the Information Sector in Rustenburg Area, North West. Salary Package will be based on qualifications and relevant experience.

THE ROLE
Successful candidates will join the Wintel Support Team who is responsible for supporting and managing the server and desktop infrastructures for our client’s internal services and global accounts.
They have to ensure that service levels are continually met on a sustained basis by consistently reviewing processes and work methods and by employing best practices. The support team is responsible for monitoring, supporting and managing the server infrastructure on behalf of the mining resource sector global accounts, as well as participate in projects, and perform standby as and when required. They have to ensure that service levels are continually met on a sustained basis by consistently reviewing processes and work methods and by employing best practices.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
• Be a qualified MCSE/MCITP or studying for an MCSE/MCITP;
• Need to have good Desktop support skills A+, N+ advantageous;
• Need to have good working knowledge of IBM, Dell and HP hardware;
• Need to have good analytical and problem solving skills;
• Keep abreast of new technologies by continually researching technologies and developing technical skills;
• Familiarise him/herself with all documentation and processes required to perform his/her function;
• Work effectively as part of technical team;
• Be committed to offering a professional service of the highest standard to all clients;
• Have a disciplined approach in one’s work;
• Deal confidently and in a professional manner with vendors and clients;
• Be self-motivated and self-driven;
• Overtime and standby will be required and own transport therefore essential.
• Willing to work outside of our South African boarders for extended periods
• Must have a valid passport.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
The environment is primarily Wintel, and a broad knowledge of the following is required:
• Operating Systems: MS Windows XP, Server & Workstation
• Back office Products: MS Exchange, MS Office, MS IIS, Lotus Notes
• Other: TCP/IP, WINS, DNS and DHCP, Anti-Virus (Mcafee and Trend Micro) VMWare Experience is required
