Is it this weather or what?

For a while now at least once every three days or so I have been waking up anything from 30mins to an hour later than my cellphone alarm was set. I had no recollection of it going off.

All this time I thought maybe something is wrong with my phone and the alarm isn't always working.

So last night I set both my phone and my watch alarm.

I woke up an hour after I should have again with no idea whether they have gone off or not :erm: :wtf:

Fortunately I still get to work on time but I am trying to get in early.

Can someone come and wake me up with a water balloon please? ! :D

You must be turning the alarm off in your sleep as it goes off.

Put the phone somewhere that it will still be loud, but that will require you to get out of bed to switch it off :)

You might be snoozing the alarm without having any recollection of doing so. Try putting the alarm out of arm's reach so you have to get out of bed to switch it off...

Oh snap...

Speed read much? :p

Certainly I will set 4 if I have to, will just need to go out and buy an electric clock or something.

This is what I did. It's also far enough to force me to get out of bed. Then 15mins after that my cellphone alarm goes off.

I got this alarm clock for my kid - I'd be well impressed if you can sleep through the racket it makes.

haha yeah. It is rather frustrating though. I know there are easy ways to counter it and end of story, but is the crux of the matter that I am not getting enough sleep or what? I don't really go to bed tired so can't say I would be successful if I try sleeping at earlier than 10.

Even if I gym after work, makes no diff.

I think it's this weather :/ must be.

On that note of yours, it is rather fiddly to snooze a touch screen phone and also a watch. Hmmm....I must be sleep walking.

Have lots of sex before you sleep. It will lead to an excellent nights sleep and you will wake up early :X

I have the same problem.
I've got two alarms, both of them are loud and out of reach.
They just don't wake me up, it normally wakes up my entire family and then they come and wake me up.
I've had this problem for about six months now, its really irritating when you need to wake up on time.

Haha awesome :)

I was reading via google earlier though that waking yourself up with a jolt is not healthy and that training oneself to wake up without an alarm is the best way. Think I am going to try something like that although it must be difficult what with working on PC's all day and night and confusing my brain :)

It could be that time of the year when it is still dark when you need to get up out of bed As a thing to try is maybe put a bedside lamp on a timer switch so it switches on about 5 or 10 minutes before you are supposed to wake up. Hopefully it will wake up the subconscious enough to hear when your alarm goes off.

never tried it so not sure if it would work just an idea :), I'm a light sleeper and my phone only has to play about a two to three seconds before I acknowledge it.

The fear of that clock waking you up will soon have you trained to wake without it. :D

Is Bobbin my clone? I have the same problem.

Somtimes my alarm's tune incorporates itself into my dreams. Like this morning.

Get a cat, I use to sleep through alarms no problem till I got a cat. Nothing is designed so well to wake you up as a cat trying to get you to feed him, from washing your face with sandpaper to siting on your chest staring at you, or think they on Kyalami race track.

Well I had cats about 3 years ago, but for some reason I still can not sleep past their feeding time doesn't matter what time I go to bed.... They must have done something to me, I am sure of it and I dont think I wanna know what.

I have the same problem.

I have 3 alarms to help me wake up.

1. Clocky: Starts beeping and then runs away, so I have to get up to shut it off.
2. Android Alarm app: When the fscking alarm goes off, you have to do some maths to dismiss the alarm.
3. Normal bell alarm.

All of the alarms are not placed near my bed otherwise I sleep through all my alarms.

a year ago I hunted around 'til I found an alarm clock like my gran use to have.

one of those with the big ''bells'' on top. I found one at boardmans. It stands on the chest of drawers on the otherside of the room.

:p I'm sure even the neighbours hear it.
