'Investors happy to back network'

Consumers will also be very happy to support the network as soon as it is available just to escape from the Telkom beast.

Yey - government sanctioned duopoly. I wish I could believe the consumer - ie me - will benefit from any actual savings.

Of course there are investors lining up - telcoms in SA is a license to print money.
 
They got the license without having money ready to back it all up???? :eek: What the hell took so long then???
 
Something i want to know will the SNO be using telkoms infrastructure or their own if transtel en eskom already got some of their own infrastructure?

I read somewhere that it is not lightly for us to see a large drop in prices within the next two years, because of the SNO using some of telkoms infrastructure, do you think this will be so?
 
If they think 9bn is on the generous side then maybe they are counting on not relying on Telkom as much as we think ;-)
