Bugger there was heavy fighting earlier this evening in urban assult. Stoke, are you stokestoke? haha, cause when i was on stokestokes team, i just heard him giggling has he blew up stuff. hehe.
I got promoted to corperal, and got a team work ribbon or something. those assult blokes in anything the flys are pretty insane. blew them up a couple of times with c4, so feel a little better.

I think its probably better to scratch around the maps offline first...it gives you a better feel of where all the places the @#%@#$ snipers lurk!

Can't I just put up a sign that says - Don't shoot me, I'm innocent:p

Heh - Playing offline is not quite the same as online, since the offline maps are 16 player only. The flag locations tend to change with the bigger maps, and not all the maps are available in single player.
Start up a local server, and run around on that. It will be empty, and there will be an annoying "Waiting for more players" message stuck in the middle of your screen, but at least you will be able to run around.
Do this especially if you want to learn to fly planes and choppers. There's nothing worse than having a newbie try fly a chopper or plane for the first time on a live server, and ends up taking out (a) veteran passenger(s). :)
Oh - and if you see any |WrG| players running around, feel free to join our squads - anybody is welcome.

The first one. ;) The other one (the green one - special forces) is an expansion. It won't work without the original.

Yup - that was me giggling me ass off ... was having a really funny time ... and Saint was on a roll with his antics.
We got really pathetic scores though.
Apologies for that - my VOIP refuses to switch back to: Hold B to talk - and is stuck in voice activated mode. I even tried wrapping mic in plastic, but then I just sounded hollow. AAAARG.
Xeno - Are you using ADSL ?
Xenophon

Don't get technical stoke, I am on Iburst (PS does that classify as ADSL or just broadband?)

Xeno :
IBurst is touch and go for a game like Battlefield.
Before you go and spend money on it, we should do some tests to see if your IBurst connection will be able to play Battlefield.
Do you play any other games online ?

GTR (before I lost my license card)
GTL
That's about it.
Are you giving me bad news cause I didn't accept your offer?:D
Edit : I love being a woman - just hinted at BF he hasn't bought me anything lately....

NA - I just don't want you to buy the game then find out that you cannot play it on-line, and it's orrible if it's not played online.
Hint at BF for BF2 - ROFFEL - It makes a wierd kind of sense ...
Open a command prompt and type in :
ping saix.co.za
my work output looks like this:
Pinging saix.co.za [196.25.1.200] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 196.25.1.200: bytes=32 time=55ms TTL=245
Reply from 196.25.1.200: bytes=32 time=37ms TTL=245
Reply from 196.25.1.200: bytes=32 time=39ms TTL=245
Reply from 196.25.1.200: bytes=32 time=40ms TTL=245
Ping statistics for 196.25.1.200:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 37ms, Maximum = 55ms, Average = 42ms
If your ping time is greated than 200 ms then you may not want to play that game online. I can shoot you once before you've even noticed me.
But a ping time of under 150 ms is cool.

what took you so long stoke?
Just a quicky I wanna put my thingetjie (ping) here. Did you type all that or is there a way I can copy/paste?
And what if I get an aerial won't that help me ping better?
Edit: I pinged 3 times with averages as follows : 222 / 218 / 145ms. Everytime moving the modem so the signal reflects better.

there are some ibursters who play...personally I prefer playing on a dedi line i have access to. some questions, how do i pick up a better weapon when people get owend around me, then how do i change it to auto voice? pushing "b" can be a pain.
xenophon... you dont want to get batttlefield 1942, vietnam or special forces.... just get battlefield2
