Ailing social network Myspace has been sold by News Corp. to advertising network Specific Media for $35 million, the All Things Digital technology blog reported on Wednesday.

The firm wanting to buy myspace obviously has lived in a bubble for the past few years - doesn't make an ounce of sense. There are plenty of other tech companies worth spending that money on and will give you a return:whistle:

$50 Billion or so, depending on who you talk to.

Another perspective is that FB is not worth a huge amount ... I still reckon if they try to sell now they can easily make more than 50 billion

Well, I'm glad it was Murdoch who lost half a billion dollars - hopefully the new owners can turn it around and make it into something useful.

Another News Corp blunder, just like trying to put their online newspapers behind paywalls. It is quite wonderful just how quickly and efficiently a relatively unregulated market, such as the internet, evolves :-)
