Description:
A Software developing Company has an opening for a IT Support Technician in the Pretoria East area. The candidate will be required to give remote support to clients on specific software.
Minimum Requirements
Matric Certificate
Above average knowledge of Windows XP, Vista, 7, essential
Knowledge of setting up a basic LAN
Good verbal and written communication skill
Good People and telephone skills
English and Afrikaans ESSENTIAL
Valid drivers license and own reliable transport essential
Must be Passionate about tech
Main Duties of a support technician:
Providing first level support to our clients using our software suite.
Liaising with clients telephonically, establishing the nature of their problems and / or requirements and assisting them to correct the issues raised by the client.
Use our remote support system to help those clients with larger issues that cannot be solved over the phone. You will need to assist the occasional irate and difficult user.
Other Duties of a support technician:
Internal support
Building / reformatting of the occasional client PC
Reporting system defects on the issue tracking system
Ability to install, configure and replace computer components
Ability to diagnose and fix Hardware / Software problems
