Finally I got a 19" TFT LCD Monitor Gigabyte GD1903DPI 8ms

Geez there's just so many places to look at on the screen, I have to move my head from side to side to see everything. In fact It's so big and so wonderful it's sick

Even the text in this message looks obnoxius

Prolly coz it is:D

hmmm 19" LCD got the same resolution as 17" LCD, unless you use it for TV you can save your head movements and potential neck injuries by using 17" one ... :D

Yes but I'm noticing that when I do drift my head across the screen I do it like a king would as he admires his kingdom:D

hmm maybe I have to post a photo of my setup ... don't want to kill your enjoyment though, maybe little later :D

Enjoy it... new technology is wonderful... especially if you've been using a dinky rink-a-tink 14" monitor for a long while, and suddenly gets a new super-duper 19" screen... :D

i had a 17inch Philpis LCD (silver), but i got it swapped out for a black one due to 1 dead pixel...


...Philpis have a 0 tollerance policy towards dead pixels, and i love it :p

Yup Mine's got one dead pixel although I had to use Dead Pixel Buddy to find it apparently the ISO says 7 is acceptable.

I know I've got one, but can't even see it

Have you tried it with any games/movies? Any ghosting?
 
hey bbmatt! If you get a chance, hop off at tottenham court road tube station and go for a walkies:-) It's all hidef all the way...sonycentre, micro-anvika and various other shops all right next to each other. Makes you think even the hobos have 50" plasmas.

Also makes you feel poor due to the prices, but it really is an eye-opener.

they measure the ms in various different ways, 8 ms is not necessarily twice as fast as 16 ms from another manufacturer! Usually the name brands like Sony and Apple measure it more correctly than the chinese brands (although all are made in China)!

I have Dell 12 ms LCDs and the video and games are as smooth (no gosting whatsoever) as it gets

I've tried it with the Sims and no ghosting, but will need to load Doom3 to check out the end scene before I'm convinced
