MyGaming: Sony to remove HD playback via analog cable from new PS3s

Don't these people realise that HDMI has been blown wide open already?
 
Why would one WANT to use analogue cables for HD content anyway? With the exception of people who have high-end old CRT TVs, majority of displays have HDMI ports.

Wait until they make you pay-per-play, slowly but surely they are chipping away at things you take for granted.
