Well basically have a family member who needs some help with his Network setup

Im looking to find someone who can advise him on new ideas and maybe set it up for us

its an office with around 10 machines all on XP pro except 1 on vista can you rebuild the 2003 server ? make proper shared areas ? get them on proper Exchange ?
maybe include sharepoint or IMP for them to use ? get a proper backup schedule so when their machine crash i have backups, a proper Antivirus suite that can deploy he updates and
maybe a vpn setup so they can work from home and still have access to the shared areas etc

This poor dude has a setup all wrong half of the people on pop 3 half on exchange

Im in Networks so i can help until the server but from there on out i need someone to assist

We chat about payment so let me know

If you're thinking about setting up a VPN, then try and set up a terminal server as well. It's pointless to have somebody connect from home, access a shared folder, and then wait a few minutes because they don't know that the 30MB file they double-clicked actually has to be downloaded to their machine, wasting cap and time for both them and the company. Rather have them connect via VPN, then remote into the terminal server, where (depending on the amount of licenses) everyone can work on it simultaneously as though it's a desktop machine.

I agree, but why bother with the VPN then?
Stick the jump server in a DMZ if you like and just RDP to it, it is encrypted enough for this setup I think.
