Please help me configure Netgear FVS338 for VPN - STRUGGLING

Hi,

As the title says i'm struggling. Device was setup for VPN then magically the VPN setup went poof (don't ask me how, nobody with access will admit to it and its not logged).

I'm trying to resetup the VPN but I can never get an address assigned when I connect. It's just a bogus 169.xx range.

Can anyone who knows this device assist?

Those 338's must be the easiest thing in the world to setup a vpn tunnel. Use the wizard on both ends and 2 minutes flat you are up, maybe you should go into more detail where your problem is.

No worries. All fixed. Seems the PDC was handling the VPN and the Netgear was just port forwarding to it.

Basically my issue was the old IT were adamant that the Netgear handled the VPN con and I was adamant that there were no settings. So I tried to set it up but it would never work as obviously the firewall rules were conflicting and the PDC was trying to auth people. Never ever ever ever believe anything a previous company tells you...
