Need some direction here guys. Looking to learn some flash dev as I'm looking to dive into Web Development. I was wondering if any of you guys knew how the flash on THIS page was created. Looking to start in this general direction. Is this a flash movie? Banner?

Any help would be appreciated.
 
Rather broad question. But: some simple fading and movement tweening.
If you are looking into webdev, I wouldn't start at flash. That banner could have been made the same in JS.
Rather go learn HTML, CSS and JS before learning specific plugins like Flash.

I agree with HTML 5, CSS3 and Jquery flash is not needed

Think about it like this, we live in a country where people dont know what the diffirence is between Internet Explorer 6 and firefox, most users dont have a flash player installed, where with javascript all browsers supports this as well as mobile phones
