What happened to the 10 and 20 gig bundle launch?

Has anyone heard anything?

couldn't find anything on the cellc website this morning and can't seem to access it at the moment. Was waiting for the budles to launch so i could sign up.
 
CellC person says "still awaiting pricing structure on 10Gb SIM only option". I thought the price had been announced already. Have tested the 21.6Mb/sec modem and it works very well, am now awaiting the SIM so I can press the START button
 
Cellc ? whats going on? Are they cancelled, not cancelled, delayed?
 
Yesterday, I sent 3 msgs to: Cell_C rep here; CellC_Boulders & [email protected] - Nary a reply from anyone! I'm now worried about going the CellC route!
 
Edit:- even drove to 2 stores; onlt to be told No Stock & no ETA! Service levels in SA, definitely leave much to be desired! A return mail would have prompted me to avoid a fruitless drive!

Rather unimpressed...

I was dead keen on this, ready to shell out the cash for the 10GB deal as soon as possible since the press release last month. CellC Clearwater - haven't got them to answer the phone yet, CellC Cresta - eventually answered the phone after a bunch of tries but no idea about the new bundles, Randridge - same as Cresta. CellC customer "service" - hung up after being on hold for 5mins waiting to be put through to the "next available consultant". Poor. Very poor.

Hey Trevor: Don't send out an official press release and then when you miss the date just keep quite, the lease I expected to see would have been an announcement about the delay before or on 1st August.

The 1st of August was a soft release, where Cell C stores and partner chain could start ordering these great package's.
The commercial launch for the public is on the 15 August, i do apologies for the misunderstanding.
Please be assured the promotion shall launch on the 15 August 2011.

hmmm what's the price of this and how does it stack up to the 8ta 10G offer?
 
Maybe franchise stores don't want to keep stock on hand due to the price factor how many people will actually sign up for 10gig/20gig package... I don't have that kind of green hanging nearby for 20gig

Below is text copied from the full press release:

"On 1 August, Cell C will be unveiling its 10GB and 20GB packages on the SA market with the aim of bringing the H+900 deep | wide| strong network to higher-demand Internet users."

And:

"The two new products will be available to customers from the beginning of August from any Cell C franchise store, and participating retail outlets."

You're right clearly I misunderstood...

Price is the key.They cant exactly make it more than 8ta.If it is more, expect a 12 month contract.If its less, expect a 24 month contract.As with 8ta this package will exclude the modems,as most people already have them.

Geez i feel like a kid with a great big 20GB piece of candy being held just out of my reach. Cell c ?

Don't meen to sound like a little kid by geez whats happening? Hope it hasn't been postponed again?
 
Agreed rustic. I need to decide whether or not I am going to take the 8ta deal. Cell C is quicker, but don't offer 10GB per month as yet. Was excited about seeing it launched today, but it seems that we will have to wait a little longer.
 
"The official launch is the 15th" wow isn't that just great. It's the 16th and we still haven't heard anything.
 
The 'official launch' always gets delayed by a day or two to highten the anticipation.
Think of it as digital foreplay.
