I've had an Iburst modem for two years now and fall JUST within their coverage area with downloads speeds of -+300kbps. I'm moving quite soon but don't know where I'm moving to yet. A couple days ago I checked Cell C's website out and saw that I'm well within their 'coverage area' and decided to buy their package. R1499 later I was chuffed with myself and plugging it into my PC expecting it to take of like like a rocket from Cape Canaveral. Not so. Nothing. Nada. Filled with joy I phoned Cell C and much to my amazement they picked up the phone in a very acceptable amount of time. Trevor must be lashing the operators. Then finding out that I'm NOT within their coverage area as www.cellc.co.za says I am, in fact, I'm so far out of it, there is not even plans to expand their network. This is close to Cape Gate Durbanville might I add. Today I will return my white ghost Cell C branded plastic and fight tooth and nail to win back my hard earned buck.
So, my question to you is, what will be my best bet in the Cape Gate Durbanville area (seeing I plan to stay in the same area after I move) as far as what wireless providers are concerned? Should I stick it out with the devil I know, namely Iburst, or is there something else on the market besides the clowns that claim you are suitable for packages that you are clearly not?
Thank you for your participation
