"Woman convicted of two homicides did not return to open prison of Vanaja in Hämeenlinna. Terhi Tervashonka has been missing for nearly two weeks.
Woman has already atoned for slicing homicide of 1998. She got her latest sentence in 2007 by killing man with a billhook.
Tervashonka would have been let out already next year. She got ten year sentence from the latest homicide, but will have to sit only half of her sentence.
Even though the homicide of 2007 was not her first, court judged her as first timer, because three years had passed from her last sentence.
Tervashonka lived in open prison, and worked as gardener in the city. She did not return to prison using public transport. "

She was 17 years old in the first homicide, and worked with two another wackos. They first tortured the victim, 23 year old man, then sliced him up and ate him in a satanist ritual.

"According to police. "There is no group searching for her, but if she turns in normal checks, we will capture her. We have no idea of her whereabouts." Because she is in open prison, she cannot be dangerous."

Ok, our justice system seriously sucks monkey balls. Government is incapable of handling criminals. Not surprised if civilians start to take justice in their own hands soon (which has already happened few times). This is third such case ive read about in the past month. Note, that police didnt think they should inform people about dangerous prisoner before she had been missing for two weeks.

Terhi Tervashonka, woman convicted for two homicides, has failed to return to the Vanaja open prison in southern Finland’s Hämeenlinna, according to reports by Finnish tabloid Ilta-Sanomat on Tuesday.
Tervashonka has been missing for almost two weeks, according to the paper.
The Criminal Sanctions Agency told that Tervashonka worked as a park worker in Hämeenlinna before her escape.
Having already served a sentence for the so-called “dump site murder” in 1998, Tervashonka was sentenced for killing a man with a billhook in 2007.
