Cape benefits from outsourcing growth

"South Africa has the potential to be a world-class supplier of IT skills and solutions on par with India," says Savides. "A strong local IT skills base is attractive to foreign investment. It's key for us to continue growing our business and creating more skilled jobs in South Africa."

The only problem being our high telecommunications costs but it's good to see business expanding. SA has a bright future.. as to when that future is, that's up to the government.

SA govt needs to be careful that Telkom's pricing doesn't force companies to use other English speaking African countries where they can get a better deal. Ghana in particular has a growing call center industry and check out their ADSL pricing http://www.dslghana.com/advantages.htm. $60 (R300) a month. That's it no line rental. Luxury.
