A polar bear attacked a group of British students camping on a remote Arctic glacier as part of a high-end adventure holiday, killing a 17-year-old boy and injuring four other young people before a trip member fatally shot the bear.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing.

It's the equivalent of pitching a tent in the middle of lions' hunting grounds--not exactly bright.

Poor polar bears. Slowly being pushed to extinction. On CNN today it was said that Artic ice smallesr this summer. Less habitat for bears. Brings them closer to humans

It is sad...but I got very upset when I heard on Friday night on Sky that they then shot the bear! He was just being a fcking bear and following his instinct! He was supposed to be there.....those kids were not! You are in his territory and polar bears are known to be extremely territorial and vicious. They had no right to shoot that bear. :-(
