Huge pings, pages timing out... wtf??? Seems the oversubscribed ADSL has now hit ISDN :(
 
They are probably using the same international satellite connection for ISDN, hence the bad latency.

There are plenty of articles on the internet explaining why lower latency is better than more bandwidth. But the South African ISPs can't comprehend this...
 
Those traceroutes is definitely not over satellite.

I suspect IS is having some major breakdown on their international peering, fibre and satellite. Not sure the cause of it yet tho :/
