Great stuff. What a magnificent achievement Spirit and Opportunity have been! Every time I hear some nutter on an anti-American rant I want to say: "You think Americans are stupid, eh? Maybe when you build and land and drive a machine on Mars you can talk, but in the meantime please shuddup".

Sick of all the anti- anti- anti- stuff just about everyone in the space I'm also in seems to spout. You're right, Ninja'd -- need to check the spleen. I withdraw those comments and resolve to delight in Opportunity perched on the crater rim.

If America spent but a fraction of its war on terror budget with space exploration we would most likely have had a base on the moon by now.

Loads more profits promoting war than space exploration...

We live in hope that man will eventually live in peace.

A pipe dream........but we can hope.:love:
