Getting World of Warcraft .. cheaply ;-)

Hi all

I see Take2 is charging R399 for WoW (as far as I recall they were actually charging much less but the price has jumped since I last saw it). Are there any avenues for getting the game, or a valid CD-Key, for about R300 or so. I have access to the actual game files if I need to install so thats not really a problem. I just hate to pay R399 for the game when you can get it overseas for 25 pounds ... I can't believe it costs Take2 an extra R150 to import it from the UK.
 
Supply and Demand and how it works in this country.

Everywhere else if tons of people buy something, then you decrease your price to sell more and make more profit quicker.

In South Africa, If you see tons of people buy something you sell, Double the price right then and they so you can screw the customer and make profit 10x quicker than anyone else.

Never really liked Take2, and if they are doing that... well.

BTW Sound like somebody else you know???
 
Yeah that sucks from take2 to do that. I got it from them when it was R229. I see Digital planet has gotit http://www.digitalplanet.co.za/shop/product.asp?StockID=72461 for R247.00. But it is still on Pre-Order. Give them a call and see if they're getting it anytime soon,and place the order with them (although from passed experience they don't know their left from their right either.)
 
Don't suppose you have a friend in the UK that could buy it for you, and just email you the SERIAL CODE?

Well got hold of Digital Planet and they told me the game is hard to get so they'll only have stock in Feb or March *sigh* Gamers Loot looks promising but its close to R300 just for the CD key but hey I'm sure I can find the ISOs somewhere. Also why do Gamers Loot offer an activiation service? Why would they need to activate the account for you?

I couldn't find it dvd4africa.

So have look at www.cd-wow.com
They have copies at the moment and will ship for free to ZA.

I've used them before and had great service.
 
WOW!! No way!! I went to dvd4africa yesterday to place my order, but didn't have all my card details. I went back today and they don't sell it anymore! Sorry for the false info :mad:
